The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the regulation that addresses the collection, use, processing, and transfer of the personal data of European Union citizens. It went into effect on May 25th, 2018.

It applies to all European Union member states and any entity that transfers personal data outside of the European Union.

Because Opinion Space does business with partners from the EU, we have to observe the same data protection standards on top of all local regulations that apply to your data.

Other laws that govern the use of your data include:

1. Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (South Africa)

2. The Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 February 4, 2020.

3. The Nigerian Data Protection Regulation, 2019 ('NDPR')

4. The Data Protection Act, 2012 (Ghana)

5. Data Protection Law¹ 2020 ( Egypt)15 July 2020.
